About me

Adelaïde d’Andigné has always been attracted to and passionate about the marvellous world of childhood.

From the time she was a small child she would create clothes for her dolls, decorate her bedroom, write plays for her brothers and sisters, and collect tissue, ribbons, and beautiful children’s books.
After graduating from the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture parisienne, Adelaïde completed her training in art history at the Ecole du Louvre in Paris, and by taking oil painting courses in Paris, and drawing courses at the Beaux and at the Art Student League in New York.
Adelaïde then quickly realised her dream: becoming a children’s clothes designer.
She subsequently also had four children, who have been a great source of inspiration.
For the past 20 years, Adelaïde has achieved success designing clothing collections, patterns, prints, all overs and illustrations for renowned children’s fashion houses and household linen companies. Photos of her creations are regularly published in the press.
Adelaide lives in the heart of Paris, near the Luxembourg gardens.

Adelaïde is also the author of three books on arts and crafts published by Editions Minerva (La Martiniere) :

  • « Tout pour bébé » 2002 (translated into English).
  • « Rêves de Marinette » 2003.
  • « Tout pour les filles » 2007.

These three works allow the reader to create clothes and various elegant objects for infants and little girls.
